Who?
De Heus is an internationally operating company whose core activity is the production and distribution of high-quality animal feed. Partly due to its rapid expansion outside the Netherlands, De Heus has now entered the top-15 of animal feed suppliers in the world. De Heus' headquarters are located in Ede. The production locations are situated in Andel, Maasbracht, Meppel, Nijkerk, Ravenstein, Sneek, Utrecht and Veghel. De Heus employs more than 600 people in the Netherlands and operates in more than 50 other countries, including its own branches in Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, Serbia, Spain, Portugal and Vietnam. Worldwide, the company has more than 5,000 employees.
What?
De Heus in Andel, one of the largest cattle feed manufacturers in the Netherlands, have recently installed a new mixer. For the client, optimal dosing of fats and their proper distribution into the mixer are of great importance. As a long-term supplier and liquid dosing expert, IVS was asked to handle the fluids issue.
How?
IVS delivered a 400-litre stainless steel weighing tank that is weighed by way of three force transducers. The stainless-steel weighing tank was built by IVS and equipped with level monitoring. It has 10 filling connections and an inspection hatch. The tank is fitted with a Typhoon agitator. Dosing into the mixer is done via a Packo stainless steel centrifugal pump. For this project, the IVS insulation department dealt with the tracing, insulation and plate finish. Our colleagues installed the weighing combination on October 13th. The rest of the flow path was connected a week later, also by IVS employees, which concluded commissioning for this project, ready for action.
