Hans den Otter guest speaker at IFF seminar
The renowned IFF research institute in Braunschweig (DE) is organising a seminar on compound feed production on 22 to 24 October. At this seminar, all the aspects associated with manufacturing compound feed will be discussed. Technical director Hans den Otter will give a presentation on behalf of IVS about the dosing of liquids in the modern compound feed and pet food industry.
About the IFF
IFF Research Association of Feed Technology was established in 1961. Its aims include investigating technological problems in the production of compound feeds, and improving process technology in the manufacture of compound feed. Besides this research, the institute carries out contract research for individual companies, and offers initial and refresher training courses for personnel in the mechanical engineering and compound feed industries. The IFF’s membership currently comprises around 80 Dutch and international companies, as well as various associations and organisations from 15 European countries. The members include the compound feed industry, additives and premix manufacturers, machinery, plant and measuring equipment firms, as well as companies, associations and organisations operating in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The presentation
The IVS presentation covers various aspects of fluid dosing including:
- Liquid intake and storage
- Volumetric and gravimetric dosages
- Batch and continual dosing
- Macro-components and micro-components, dosing accuracy requirements, cycle times
- Trends, new developments and application examples
